ATLANTA, GA – January 12, 2026 – Anatar, a vertically integrated textile and apparel manufacturer, is proud to announce its official approval as a member of the Revolutionary Fibers and Textiles Consortium (RFTC), a Department of Defense (DoD) Manufacturing Innovation Institute established by the Office of the Secretary of Defense Manufacturing Technology Program (OSD ManTech) and administered by Advanced Technology International (ATI). This strategic milestone affirms Anatar’s commitment to rebuilding domestic manufacturing capacity and supporting U.S. economic security through advanced textile manufacturing.

Advancing Innovation in Advanced Textiles

The Revolutionary Fibers and Textiles Consortium brings together industry leaders, government agencies, and research institutions to drive innovation in high-performance and smart textile systems. Its mission is to accelerate the development and manufacturing of next-generation fibers, fabrics, and textiles that enhance U.S. defense readiness, sustainability, and global competitiveness.

As part of the RFTC, Anatar joins a collaborative network of textile innovators working at the intersection of material science, manufacturing automation, and digital intelligence. Participation provides Anatar with access to federally supported research, prototyping, and pilot opportunities in areas such as advanced textile structures, integrated sensing fabrics, and adaptive material systems.

Strengthening Domestic Manufacturing

With the majority of U.S. apparel still sourced from abroad, rebuilding domestic textile manufacturing is essential for both economic vitality and national security. Recent disruptions in global supply chains have made it clear that the ability to produce essential sewn products within U.S. borders is a strategic necessity.

“Joining the Revolutionary Fibers and Textiles Consortium aligns perfectly with our mission to modernize and reshore U.S. textile manufacturing,” said Kaia Rhodes, Founder and CEO of Anatar. “We are proud to work alongside leading research institutions and industry partners to build the next era of American innovation.”

Technology-Driven Manufacturing

Anatar’s approach blends automation, data intelligence, and material innovation to strengthen the domestic textile industry. Its proprietary Loom platform delivers real-time operational insights across production networks, allowing manufacturers and government partners to trace material origin, verify compliance, and optimize resource use. This digital infrastructure supports the defense sector’s need for verified, secure, and agile supply chains.

Looking Ahead

Anatar’s engagement with the RFTC comes as the company expands its automated manufacturing operations in Georgia. The new facility, set to open later this year, will create hundreds of skilled manufacturing jobs and accelerate the transition from offshore manufacturing to intelligent domestic solutions.
